Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit avantario.ch, contact us, subscribe to our newsletter, or buy from us — and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who is responsible
The controller for the processing of personal data on this website is the sole proprietorship David Wardenga, UID CHE-190.088.535, Schwändeli 1, 6318 Walchwil, Switzerland, david@avantario.ch. Avantario is a brand of that firm.
The controller is the person who decides, alone or jointly with others, on the purposes and means of processing personal data.
For any question about your personal data, and to exercise any of the rights set out below, you can contact us directly at that address.
2. What we process and why
When you visit the site. Server log data including IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, date and time of access. Purpose: secure and error-free operation. Legal basis: our legitimate interest.
When you contact us. Name, email address, phone number where given, and the content of your message. Purpose: answering your enquiry. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures or legitimate interest.
When you subscribe to the newsletter. Email address and name where given. Purpose: sending the content you asked for. Legal basis: your consent, withdrawable at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email.
When you buy. Name, billing address, email, and the order data. Card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by us. Purpose: performing the contract and meeting statutory retention duties.
3. Hosting and shop platform
This website runs on Shopify. For merchants in Europe, the contracting party is Shopify International Limited, Dublin, Ireland, part of Shopify Inc., Canada. Shopify processes personal data on our behalf under a data processing agreement and may store it on servers outside Switzerland and the EU.
4. Payments
Purchases made through this shop are processed by Shopify Payments. Payments for our Community membership are processed by Stripe. When you pay, the data needed for the transaction is transmitted to the provider. We do not receive or store full card details.
5. Email and SMS
We use Klaviyo to send emails and SMS and to measure whether they were opened and which links were clicked. Provider: Klaviyo, Inc., Boston, USA. Klaviyo processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
You can object to this measurement at any time by unsubscribing. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
6. Analytics, tracking and advertising
Shopify Analytics. Shopify records visits, page views, sessions, referral sources and orders so that we can understand how the shop is used.
Aimerce First-Party Pixel. A first-party tracking and attribution tool that records interactions on this website and links them to advertising campaigns.
Klaviyo. In addition to sending messages, Klaviyo records on-site behaviour such as pages viewed and products browsed, and links it to your profile where you are identified.
Other apps. We also use Shopify Flow and Digital Products. These support automation and digital delivery and process order and account data where their function requires it.
Where these tools are not technically necessary, they are only active once you have given consent through the cookie banner.
7. Cookies and consent
This site uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are technically necessary for the shop to work, for example the basket and the checkout. Others are used for analysis or advertising and are only set once you accept them.
We use Shopify's consent management. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept, decline, or manage your preferences. You can change your choice at any time through that banner, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block necessary cookies, parts of the site will stop working.
8. Transfers abroad
Some of the providers we use process data in the United States or other countries outside Switzerland and the EU. Where a country does not offer an equivalent level of protection, we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, on the provider's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or on another legal basis permitted by the FADP and the GDPR.
9. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as the purpose requires it, or as long as statutory retention periods oblige us to — in particular under accounting and tax law. After that, it is deleted or anonymised.
If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, your email address may be kept on a suppression list so that we do not contact you again. That list is used for no other purpose.
10. Your rights
You have the right to information about the personal data we hold about you, and the right to have inaccurate data corrected. Depending on the circumstances, you may also request deletion, restriction of processing, or the transfer of your data, and you may object to processing.
Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.
To exercise any of these rights, write to david@avantario.ch. We may need to verify your identity before we act.
11. Complaints
If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). If you are in the EU, you may also complain to the supervisory authority in your country of residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.
12. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our processing changes or the law requires it. The current version is always the one published on this page. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
